With warm applause, we invite Mr. Wang Jianzhong, a professor of the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, a doctoral supervisor, the executive chairman of the Art Committee of the China Ceramic Industry Association, and the director of the Design Center of the China Ceramic Industry Association, to deliver a speech.

Wang Jianzhong: Distinguished guests, good afternoon everyone. I am very happy to participate in Master Chen Liehan’s first solo exhibition in more than 30 years. I am also very grateful to the National Ceramic Art Museum for providing this high-end platform to Master Chen Liehan. The master is our old student. After graduation, he has been busy communicating and disseminating ceramic art and creating ceramic works. I myself often go to various porcelain producing areas for research, meetings and creations. Many people in the porcelain producing areas are very familiar with Master Chen Liehan. Everyone knows that in the early 1990s, his ceramic creations were done outside of his work. . Just now, I visited all the exhibits, which can be divided into several periods. The blue and white series of works in the first period were created under the guidance of Professor Hu Meisheng when he was a graduate student at the Central Academy of Art and Design (now Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts) from 1990 to 1993. He has a good grasp of Jingdezhen's traditional blue and white hook line water separation technique. , The expression technique is also very rigorous, the composition of the picture is very decorative; the second period of modern pottery works, after he joined the work, was influenced by Western artistic thoughts, after extensively learning and communicating the most authoritative art trends in China, in 2005 He set up his own pottery studio in the suburbs of Beijing and organically combined the artistic techniques of modern three-dimensional composition, modern image modeling, and abstract modeling, and created a batch of pottery works with personal style characteristics. The celadon works of the third period were created by him in Longquan after 2010. In the past five years, he devoted all his energy to the research and creation of Longquan celadon, and fully explored the potential of celadon material beauty, rich modeling changes, diverse decorative techniques, and carvings. The combination of flowers and the glaze color is as warm as jade, which is rich in contemporary celadon art, which has a certain era and representativeness. Looking at the ceramic works of Master Chen Liehan, I think there are three characteristics. First of all, I can feel that he loves ceramic art and ceramic culture and has worked hard to study. He also has his own knowledge, understanding and grasp of various materials of ceramics. The expression in the creation constitutes a distinctive feature of Master Chen Liehan's modern ceramic art creation. Secondly, the characteristics of master Chen Liehan's ceramic creation are very rigorous. Whether it is the blue and white line drawing, the detailed treatment of the celadon shape, the clay material of the ceramic art, and the change treatment of colored glaze, it clearly reflects his rigorous creation. Academic attitude. The third point is that Master Chen Liehan works in the China National Arts and Crafts Group. He has a broad field of vision and no perspective. He has a wide range of creative themes, superb skills, and comprehensive expression techniques, including carving, painting and sculpture decoration. As a ceramic master, Chen Liehan is still in the middle-aged stage. He has a long road to art in the future. He has achieved a lot of academic achievements, but he has to have higher goals and pursuits. I believe that in his future ceramic art creation In the process, it will go further. When he has a more profound understanding and knowledge of Chinese ceramic culture, I believe that his works of art will have a new look and a broader development prospect. Just now the host Secretary Hou said that today is a good day, a day for everyone to gather together before the Spring Festival, so I hope that during the gathering days we congratulate Master Chen Liehan on the complete success of the ceramic art exhibition. thank you all!

Hou Wenquan: Thank you Professor Wang Jianzhong for his wonderful speech. Next, we will invite Mr. Zheng Zhi, the president of Sino-Ocean International Investment Group, the organizer, to make a speech.

Zheng Zhi: Dear friends, experts, guests, and friends from the media, good afternoon!
Today we are hosting the "Master Chen Liehan Ceramic Art Exhibition" at the National Ceramic Art Museum. Here, on behalf of the organizer, I first wish the exhibition of Master Chen Liehan a complete success. At the same time, I would like to express my warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to all the guests who have braved the bitter cold to participate in this exhibition. Just now, Professor Wang Jianzhong has given full affirmation to the works created by Master Chen over the past 30 years. Because I am still a beginner in art, I dare not comment on it, but I saw the 100 works displayed, which are exquisite decorations. , The novel shape is very shocking. I understand from the perspective of the market that I like Master Chen's artworks very much and have the potential for collection. I am very honored to be the organizer of the exhibition. Before the opening of the exhibition, we carried out an exhibition propaganda notice to the society. The social response has been great. We originally planned to hold a grand opening ceremony. However, Mr. Chen was humble, so this opening ceremony did not show any extravagance. To small scale and high specification. Thanks to the organizers and co-organizers for their strong support to the exhibition. Today is a very beautiful festival-Laba Festival, which is also the Sakyamuni Enlightenment Day. He is a wise man and a scholar. Master Chen is also a scholar. I hope Master Chen will become a folk pottery Sakyamuni. I also wish everyone a happy new year. , Happy holidays, happy family, thank you!

Hou Wenquan: Thank you Mr. Zheng for his speech. Now we have the author Chen Liehan to introduce the exhibits.

Chen Liehan: Dear leaders, teachers, friends, good afternoon!
First of all, thank you very much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to attend my solo exhibition. I am very grateful to the China Ceramic Industry Association for hosting this exhibition for me. I am very grateful to the National China Ceramic Art Museum as the organizer for providing me with such a spacious, comfortable and elegant exhibition space and logistics support. Thank you very much to the co-organizers Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts and Jingdezhen The Ceramic Institute, Beijing Arts and Crafts Association, Beijing Arts and Crafts Publishing House and "China Ceramics" magazine gave strong support to the exhibition.
Let me briefly introduce the status of the exhibits and my experience in creating these works. There are 100 sets of works on display in this exhibition, including 20 blue and white and painted porcelain, 13 modern pottery, and 67 Longquan celadon. I have the following thoughts when creating these works.
Ceramic art is an art of water, soil and fire. I have cultivated in this art of water, soil and fire for more than 30 years, creating hundreds of ceramic works of different types, materials, techniques, and styles. I deeply feel that ceramic art creation is a comprehensive knowledge that includes materials science, technology, art and other disciplines. Ceramic artists need to work hard to learn and master the above related subject knowledge in order to make art. Ceramic art creation is one This is a very hard labor experience.
In order to create ceramic blue and white decorative art, you must have a deep drawing and modeling ability, experience life and collect materials from life before creation. Decorative patterns are generally carried out on three-dimensional vessels. The decorative patterns must be coordinated with the changes in the modeling parts. The primary and secondary are distinct. The decorative patterns are universal. The audience must be complete to appreciate from every angle. The theme patterns must be designed Ideological, artistic, and contemporary must conform to the aesthetic requirements of the times and embody the science and technology of the times, material technology and firing technology. The green pattern decoration is carried out on the dry mud. The mud has strong water absorption. It is much more difficult to draw lines and smudge colors than to paint on paper or cloth. It is because of the restriction of mud water absorption. The blue-and-white decorative hook line and the form of expression of strokes and strokes form the unique style of blue-and-white decorative art.
To create modern ceramic art, you must master the plasticity of the clay used, the shrinkage rate of dry firing, the load-bearing capacity of the clay at high temperatures, the firing range of the clay and the firing range of the glaze, etc., and use different clays for ceramic art Creation and clay have a great restriction on ceramic modeling. Many modelings cannot be made with clay. It is because of the limitations of clay that the unique language of ceramic modeling is formed. It is precisely because the glaze is in high temperature. The kiln changes during firing have produced the unique artistic style and characteristics of ceramic art. The beauty of texture, glaze color, kiln changes, and defects produced by modern ceramic art in high-temperature firing are beyond the reach of metal and wood materials. The creation of modern ceramic art must be contemporary, so that future generations will know that this is a work of the 21st century.
Longquan celadon art is a traditional plastic art with a history of more than 1,000 years, pursuing the beauty of simple modeling, the beauty of glazes like jade, the beauty of subtle and elegant decoration, and the beauty of exquisite craftsmanship. To create celadon art, you must be familiar with the tradition, know the core of the beauty of celadon, and you must be familiar with the clay properties of purple clay and the firing range of the glaze. Celadon strong reducing flame firing, heating rate and holding time are very knowledgeable and require constant exploration. Potters should strive to create works with personal style characteristics in terms of shape, decoration, and glaze tones.
The main purpose of holding this solo exhibition is to invite everyone to judge the works that I have created over the past 30 years. Leaders and experts are invited to give us valuable advice and comments.
With the care, help and guidance of leaders and experts, I will work harder, keep making progress, and create better works. Thank you again for coming! Thank you everyone!

Hou Wenquan: Thank you Master Chen Liehan for his wonderful speech. Finally, let us invite Beijing Gongmei Group Co., Ltd. Party Secretary, Chairman and President of Beijing Arts and Crafts Association, Mr. Li Jie, to announce the opening of the exhibition with warm applause!

Li Jie: Dear experts and all guests, I am very happy to participate in this exhibition. Now I am honored to announce that "Master Chen Liehan Ceramic Art Exhibition" is now open!
Hou Wenquan: Thank you all. This is the end of the first part of the opening ceremony. Please take a group photo at the door and then visit the works of Master Chen.

Exhibition seminar
Hou Wenquan: Master Chen Liehan's ceramic art exhibition seminar now begins. Next, we have Professor Wang Jianzhong, a professor of the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, a doctoral supervisor, the executive chairman of the Art Committee of the China Ceramic Industry Association, and the director of the Design Center of the China Ceramic Industry Association, to chair the seminar. Welcome!

Wang Jianzhong: Today’s seminar is really full of people. There are so many respected old experts, old professors and important leaders from the ceramics, education, fine arts, and cultural management sectors. Many masters came from all over the world to participate last night. This shows how important everyone is. Now, I would like to invite you to speak freely. Through the experience of the visit just now, you can talk about your artistic views from your own perspective and the perspective of the development of Chinese ceramics, as well as your evaluation of the artworks of Master Chen Liehan. I think our academic exchanges, Not only will it be of great help to Master Chen Liehan's future artistic creation, but it will also promote China's ceramic art and culture. The first choice is to invite our teacher, Professor Zhang Shouzhi, a senior in the ceramic art industry, to give a speech.

Zhang Shouzhi: Before the opening of the exhibition, I repeatedly watched Chen Liehan's celadon works, and I would like to take this opportunity to share my experience. Chen Liehan graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute. His teacher happened to be my eldest brother. Professor Shi Yuren, the monitor of the Department of Ceramics at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in the 1950s. After graduating from undergraduate degree, Chen Liehan stayed on the school to teach for 3 years, and then he was admitted to the postgraduate of Professor Hu Meisheng of the Ceramics Department of our college. He grew up in an environment like Jingdezhen’s traditional ceramic production area. He has a very good foundation of Jingdezhen’s traditional ceramic molding and decoration techniques. The blue and white lotus-picking quiver displayed in the middle of the exhibition hall is his graduation work during the graduate period. Jingdezhen’s traditional blue-and-white decorative art features, and innovates on this basis.
After graduation, Chen Liehan was assigned to the Publicity and Exhibition Office of China Handicrafts Import and Export Corporation, responsible for the overall publicity of the head office, the editing of "China Handicrafts" magazine, and the company's new ceramic product design work. Engaging in ceramics foreign exchange and export work in China National Arts and Crafts Corporation gave him the opportunity to learn about ceramic art from all over the world, and to study and create in key ceramic production areas across the country. This working environment broadened his vision and helped him The creation provided convenient conditions and improved his ceramic art creation level. I know that he insists on ceramic creation while working and perseveres. There are works in every period. It is really not easy. He was deeply cultivated and influenced by the environment of Jingdezhen, and he valued overglaze painting. He installed an electric stove on the balcony of his home in Beijing, and took time for overglaze painting and firing during weekends and nights.
After being appraised as a Chinese ceramic art master in 2010, the objective conditions have improved. The unit leaders paid attention to him and asked him to concentrate his time on ceramic creation and formally established a personal studio in Longquan. His creation in Longquan was very low-key. When he mentioned Chen Liehan in Longquan, everyone was familiar with it. But when he mentioned that Chen Liehan was creating celadon in Longquan, many national and provincial masters didn’t know it. I think it’s not easy. As long as he has time, he will devote himself to it. Studio creation, no day or night, continuous rotation for two or three months, every time I return to Beijing, I see his new works are very surprised. I have only created celadon for more than 5 years, and I have created many works. It is not easy, Long Quan The masters of this place of origin do not have such creative energy. What is more worthy of recognition is that his celadon works are complete in shape, and the decoration of the ears is varied. His partial treatment of the mouth, shoulders, abdomen, and feet is suitable for the requirements of thick celadon glaze, so that the partial glaze color of the work is divided into thickness and glaze color. Contrast, while controlling the fluidity of the glaze, capture the unique language that celadon is good at with glaze and its shape wins, and the decoration techniques are diverse, portraying combination, exploring celadon blue and white, celadon gilding and celadon red and green color decoration, at this point I I think it is very gratifying. The treatment of his bottles, jars and mouthpieces is not the white porcelain shape of Jingdezhen, because the beauty of celadon and the beauty of the glaze color itself are connected with the beauty of the green mountains and green water like jade. He has achieved the beauty of the glaze color from the shape. . He mastered the traditional artistic characteristics of celadon, and made bold attempts in glaze decoration. He mastered powder celadon, plum celadon, beige glaze, and official kiln piece glaze. Last year, the State Council specially collected one of his celadon works, and the China Art Museum, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China also collected his celadon works. Chen Liehan's artistic achievements and influence on celadon contributed to the overall development of Longquan celadon. I wish Chen Liehan a better development in his creative path in the future, congratulations on the success of the exhibition, thank you all!

Wang Jianzhong: Thank you Mr. Zhang for your speech. We all hope to hear Mr. Zhang's speech at the meeting. Mr. Zhang knows history and starts from this perspective. At the same time, I have witnessed the growth of Mr. Chen Liehan. So I also have a lot of emotion after hearing this. The teacher's speech highly praised and affirmed Chen Liehan from an academic perspective. Now I invite General Manager Liu Peijin to speak.

Liu Peijin: After seeing Chen Liehan's work exhibition, I feel gratified and very happy. During Chen Liehan's growth, it gave us an inspiration. Being an official and being an artist are two different things, and they are different behavior patterns. In fact, Chen Liehan is an artistic talent, not suitable for leadership and management work. In recent years, his focus has shifted to ceramic creation, and his achievements in celadon creation are worthy of congratulations. His creation can be divided into several processes. The first is the blue and white works during the postgraduate period, and the artistic quality is very good. The second is the modern pottery creation in the suburbs of Beijing. I think his creative path has gone wrong. The third is the past five years. His celadon creation has reached a certain height. Today I saw the celadon blue and white work "Water Village". I feel very characteristic and innovative. The combination of portrayal and blue and white materials flow dripping, giving people a kind of hazy beauty. I hope this work will be a new starting point and create a better landscape series. works. The artistic realm of the work has reached a higher level, this is what I want to say, thank you!

Wang Jianzhong: Mr. Liu spoke very well and put forward a point of willingness. As an artist, Chen Liehan, who is already a master of Chinese ceramics, also hopes to continue to make progress and work towards a higher level. Mr. Liu provides you with a way to explore in the future. Thank you very much Mr. Liu for his speech. Now I invite Mr. Li Zhengan, professor of Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts to speak.

Li Zhengan: I am honored to meet you again. Liehan and I met at the China National Arts and Crafts Museum in the late 1980s. He was a young teacher in the Fine Arts Department of Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute.
