We have a lot of 7000-year interesting pottery relics. Now let a young student narrate about them.
今天我讲解的这件文物是“淡兰釉抽角双耳瓶”，由宜兴清代制陶名家鲍明亮制作。
Today I am going to tell the story of this vase. It was made by Bao Mingliang, a famous potter of the Qing Dynasty.
它的器型仿商周青铜尊，通身施以淡蓝釉，内沁开片花纹，瓶身正面的流釉是当时套烧的大缸上的老红釉滴落所致，好似山涧流淌下来的一股清泉，有如神来之笔，可遇而不可求。
Its shape is in imitation of a bronze vessel “Zun” of the Shang Dynasty. It is totally covered with light blue glaze. It is cracked glaze and there are some drops of red glaze on its surface. It is said that the red drops came from big jars when they were being burned together in the kiln. The red drops look like a clear spring from a hill. It is a delicate touch made by accident.
它的底部有“大清褒奖鲍氏明亮制”的朱红印章，至今仍清晰可见，见证了鲍氏作品曾在1910年清政府举办的首届南洋劝业大会上获奖的殊荣。
Underneath the base there is a red seal mark. It reads “Made by Bao Mingliang prized by the Qing court”. The mark is still very clear. This mark witnesses that Bao Mingliang’s work was prized at the 1st Nanyang Industrial Exposition sponsored by the Qing government.

There is a legend hidden in every piece of historical relics.
这件“淡兰釉抽角双耳瓶”告诉了我们宜兴均釉陶器与皇室贵族的渊源。
This vase tells us that Yixing Jun-glae pottery once had royal connection.
据清宫档案记载，雍正元年，宜兴均釉陶器就进入了宫廷，多为陈设品和文房用品，数量虽不多，但制作考究，质量上乘，是专门定制或进贡之物。
Based on the achives of the Qing court, in the 1st year of Yongzheng Reign, Yixing Jun-glazed pottery were collected by the court as decorations and study’s supplies. The quantity was not large but they were elaborate and good-quality wares, specially made as tributs to the court.
宜兴均釉陶器以其釉色和拇指堆贴花工艺而蜚声中外，它们和宜兴紫砂并称为“陶都三宝”，一起成就了宜兴作为中国陶都的历史地位和深远影响。
With beautiful glaze colors and thumb-appliqued designs, Yixing Jun-glaze wares are well-known at home and abroad. The Jun-glaze, the thumb-applique and the zisha-ware are regarded as “three treasures of Yixing - the pottery capital”. They have laid Yixing’s historical position and made Yixing have a prodound influence.
