In Chaozhou, Guangdong province, a city long honored for its porcelain-making, the China Porcelain Capital Exhibition Hall offers a rich collection of exquisite works of masters.

The museum, one of the largest of its kind in Guangdong, showcases 6,000 pieces and sets of porcelain works created in Chaozhou since the Tang Dynasty (618-907), including those for decoration and daily use.

Chaozhou's ancestors started making pottery more than 6,000 years ago. The city's ceramics industry generated output of 54.6 billion yuan ($8.32 billion) last year, which accounted for 26.4 percent of the city's industrial output.
