On the afternoon of June 3, 2017, Jacques Kaufmann, President of International Academy of Ceramics, and a famous international ceramic master, visited Beijing Guozhong Ceramic Art Museum.

During the visit, Jacques Kaufmann highly appreciated the precious collection of Beijing Guozhong Ceramic Art Museum, and highly recognized the ultimate pursuit of taste and exquisite production techniques of the exhibits in the museum. He spoke highly of the work done by the Beijing Guozhong Ceramic Art Museum, and fully affirmed its perfect facilities and superior space conditions.

 

Jacques Kaufmann also had a deep understanding of the construction and development of the Beijing Guozhong Ceramic Art Museum, and inquired in detail about the building purpose, collection, publicity channels and overall operation of the museum.

 

Although it is not the first time for Jacques Kaufmann to visit the Beijing Guozhong Ceramic Art Museum, he is very serious and careful when he visits the collection. He observes each piece carefully and asks about the author. When he saw his work "pillar", he was very excited, and introduced in detail the difficult creation process of this huge work.

After that, he met with Chinese ceramic master Chen liehan and had a friendly and in-depth exchange on ceramic professional issues.

Finally, Jacques Kaufmann appreciated the great efforts made by the museum to promote the prosperity of art ceramics. He stressed that he would have in-depth communication with Guozhong and discuss and prospect further cooperation.

 

Jacques Kaufmann has French and Swiss nationality and is the president of IAC. He once served as the director and professor of Ceramic Art Department of Warwick Institute of art and design, and also the main organizer of the 44th UNESCO International Ceramic Society conference .
