    Artist Biography

    About Shao Ping:

    National second-level artist, jewelry designer

    Graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Jiangxi Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute, majoring in ceramic design.

    He is currently an associate professor in the Jewelry Design Teaching and Research Section of the Jewelry College of China University of Geosciences (Beijing) and has been teaching for more than 20 years.

    In 2000, the pottery work "Twilight" was selected into the "First National Ceramic Art Exhibition"

    In 2006, the pottery work "Freedom Series" was selected into the "The 8th National Ceramic Art Innovation Appraisal Exhibition" and won the Excellence Award

    In 2006, the pottery work "Freedom Series" was selected into the "National Biennale of Young Ceramic Artists"

    In 2007, the pottery work "You Pull Me Sing" won the Silver Award in the "Fifth China Handicraft Fair"

    In 2007, the pottery work "Freedom" participated in the "3rd Beijing Arts and Crafts Exhibition" and won the Excellence Award.

    In 2007, "Hand-painted Jewelry Techniques" was published by People's Fine Arts Publishing House.

    2009 Pottery work "Spring Rain Series" participated in "Inheritance and Innovation-Arts and Crafts Exhibition" and won the gold medal

    In 2013, the jewelry work "Shenlong" participated in the "2013 Beijing Jewelry Biennale"

    In 2013, the jewellery work "The Bamboo of the Four Gentlemen" won the bronze medal in the 4th "Huabao Award" for the first time in the Hong Kong, Taiwan and Hong Kong Jewellery Competition.

    In 2014, the ceramic work "Flowers Return to Quiet" won a special award at the "Korea Design Science Association International Invitation Exhibition" in South Korea.
