    Artist Biography

    Pang Yuan, female, born in Heze, Shandong in 1937, graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts and the Central Academy of Art and Design, is currently a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a council member of the Chinese Painting Society, a consultant of the Chinese Women Painters Association, and the Chinese Gongbi Painting Society Member, member of Beijing Women Artists Association. In 1991, his work won the bronze prize of the "Second Chinese Fine Brushwork Painting Society Exhibition". In 1994, his work won the silver prize of the "3rd China Fine Brush Painting Society Exhibition", and his works were specially invited to the 6th, 7th and 8th China Fine Brush Painting Society Exhibition. In 1994, his work was selected for the 8th National Art Exhibition. In 1998, held a solo exhibition in the Art City of Paris, France. In 2001, Tianjin Yangliuqing Publishing House published a series of Chinese painting models "Pang Yuan's Selection of Modern Chinese Fine Brushwork Flowers". In 2007, his work was selected into the "One World—Chinese Painters' Colored Paintings of the United Nations Family Art Exhibition" and went to Egypt for a tour. In 2013, the work "The Color of the Country" was selected into the "Exhibition of Contemporary Chinese Female Artists" and was collected by the China Women and Children Museum. In 2013, three works were exhibited in the "Cross-Strait Painted China-Cross-Strait Chinese Painting Masters Exchange Exhibition" and touring exhibitions in Beijing, Taiwan and other places. In 2013, his work was selected for the "Ink and Color-Chinese Painting and Oil Painting Exhibition" in Macau. In 2014, his work was selected for the "2014 Art China-Chinese Painting Entering the United Nations Exhibition" on display at the United Nations Hall in Vienna.
