    Artist Biography

    Jiang Yongjun was born in Yixing in 1966. Graduated from the Central Academy of Art and Design (now Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts). Dean/Associate Professor of Ceramics School of Wuxi Vocational and Technical College, researcher-level senior arts and crafts artist, Jiangsu Province ceramic art master. Standing director of the Ceramic Art Committee of the China Ceramics Association, member of the Art Design Committee of the National Light Industry Education Commission, senior examiner of the National Vocational Skills Appraisal, director of the Ceramic Art Committee of the Jiangsu Ceramic Association, and standing director of the Jiangsu Science Artists Association.

    He has been engaged in ceramic design and production since the 1980s. The created works record the special craftsmanship, artistry, cultural and contemporary characteristics of Zisha culture, endow Zisha's artistic and humanistic aesthetics, and interpret the artistic beauty of "rigid and soft, smart and beautiful". His works have participated in many domestic and international exhibitions and won awards. They have been collected by the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, Saddleback College of the United States, and the Cultural Market Development Center of the Ministry of Culture. The editor-in-chief of "Ziyun Qingliu", "Ceramic Product Designer", Books such as "Constructing Zisha", "Collection of Female Pottery Artists in Yixing" and other books; presided over the national "Chinese Folk Art Market and Its Case Studies" sub-project research, Jiangsu Province "the construction and practice of the connection of the ceramic art professional curriculum system in secondary vocational colleges" ; Presided over the project of National Teaching Resource Database "Hundred Workers Records · Non-genetic Inheritance and Innovation of Chinese Arts and Crafts".
