Artist Biography

Qin Pu
Born in 1956. He used to be the deputy director of the Sculpture Art Creation Institute of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, the vice chairman of the Sculpture Professional Committee of the China Arts and Crafts Association, and the eighth environmental art consultant of the Beijing Municipal People's Government Advisory Group.
He is currently the director and professor of the Public Art Studio of the Sculpture Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, a master tutor, a member of the Ceramic Art Committee of the Chinese Artists Association, the vice chairman of the China Cultural Industry Promotion Association, and an executive director of the Environmental Art Professional Committee of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.
Representative works include "Tibetan Girl", "Group Crane", "Continuous Movement", etc. Many environmental sculptures have been completed all over the country, such as "Fission" and "Flying" at Beijing National Olympic Sports Center, and "Monument to Revolutionary Martyrs of Peking University" at Peking University , "Rhyme of Moonlight" on Donghai Road, Qingdao City, Shandong, "Rhyme Series No. 2", Guilin International Sculpture Park, Guangxi, "Lei", Renmin Street, Changchun City, Jilin, etc.
Wrote "The Overall Consciousness of Environmental Sculpture Design", "Returning to Europe and Talking about Environmental Sculpture", "Looking at the Korean Olympic Sculpture Park", "Urban Sculpture and Urban Environment", "Experiencing Public Art", "City is a Readable Culture" and other theoretical articles , And author of "Comprehensive Materials-Material and Space Composition".
