Artist Biography

Li Yanzu
Born in 1954, PhD, Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts, professor and doctoral supervisor. Jiangxi Provincial Government invited Jinggang Scholars, Jingdezhen Ceramics University Specially Appointed Professors, the Dean of the Art and Culture College of Ceramics University, and the Honorary Dean of the Jiangsu Normal University Academy of Fine Arts. Member of Chinese Artists Association, Member of Chinese Aesthetics Association, Member of China Design Association. Experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council.
He has long been engaged in theoretical research and teaching of design art and arts and crafts, and has been engaged in Chinese painting and ceramic art creation for a long time. In 1993, he was awarded the title of "Young Backbone Teachers in Beijing Universities".
In 2003, he won the "First National Famous Teaching Teacher Award", "Beijing Famous Teaching Teacher Award", and "Tsinghua University Teaching and Educating Award".
From 2011 to 2016, he held solo exhibitions of ceramic art in Beijing, Shaanxi, Anhui, Jiangxi and other places, and exhibited more than ten times at home and abroad. Published more than ten personal ceramic works and other works, and published more than 200 papers.
