Artist Biography

Born in Pingyuan County, Shandong Province in 1937, he is a retired professor at the Central Academy of Art and Design (now Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts).
He graduated from the Ceramic Art Design Department of Central Academy of Arts and Crafts in 1961, and worked in ceramic art design in Xining Ceramic Factory after graduation.
In 1980, he was transferred to the Ceramic Art Design Department of the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts to teach.
From 1980 to 2003, he participated in the establishment of the Department of Arts and Crafts of Beijing Dongcheng Workers College, and was hired as a teaching consultant and visiting professor.
From 1986 to 2003, he went to Longquan City, Zhejiang Province 15 times in combination with teaching to engage in the research and design practice of Longquan celadon art.
In 2001, he was employed as a teaching supervisor at the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University.
