Artist's Work

Head Nr.20

    Work introduction

I start to study pottery  in 2003 and my first wish was to create functional wares I tried to express natural   processes in clay. Issues that interested  me  was  transience of life, imperfection, impermanence , self-nature and beauty of materials. But my philosophy transformed and I began to reflect about humans  and about processes in society. Civilization and urbanity changes the human nature . Personality as set of separate elements,   possibility of their  changes and permanent  transformation. Continuous change and imperfection as a basic line of personality. The seeming order is unstable. Entropy as form of transformation of objects of material culture. The psychological isolation that is common to human experience.  I try to integrate this motifs into my forms.  I continue to do pottery because for me it is the study of shapes and surfaces, colours and glazes. It is a great experience for the artist, to have a possibility to make functional things, not only art.
