    Work introduction

    I really feel concerned about animals survival in front of global warming. Polar bears are in big danger. Which future?

    How it is small comparing the collapsing icebergs? Behind the form and the expression the polar bear is calling for help.

     

    From a porcelain block I did crackles with a heatgun. Then I pushed inside from the bottom to create brocken ice. I added some long pieces glazed with white sand. A polar bear on the edge trying to escape or maybe asking help…

    Artist Biography

    Lise was born in France near Bordeaux. She is mostly living in Paris. After a first life dedicated to classical music, I turned to ceramics: workshops, a first travel Japan for a residency….

    She is currently exhibiting and competing in France and abroad.

    In 2018, she went to Posio, Finland, for a workshop and in China, Hebei province, for a sculpture symposium. Some exhibitions too in Sèvres, near Paris. Every year she’s participating to Animal sculptures and paintings salon.

    In 2019, she was invited for a symposium in Kecskemet, Hungary, for woodfiring in Olsen’s kilns. She participated to the Cluj biennale, Romania. She was solo invited in the Tsarytsino Museum in Moscow, Russia to show polar bears sculptures.

    In February 2020, she is invited for a symposium in India in museum of Bhopal.

    Her art is in several museum, Prag, Tokoname, Gualdo Tadino, Moscow…

    She is member of ArtCeram, ceramics association organizing a biennale in Sèvres, near Paris.
